Pear and Almond Tart

Enjoy a tasty pear and almond tart that doesn't contain any dairy or gluten. The sweet taste of ripe pears and the nutty taste of almond flour work perfectly together in this simple recipe. You can eat it for dessert or as a sweet treat at any time.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe pears, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Sliced almonds, for topping optional

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and grease a tart pan with coconut oil

In a bowl, combine almond flour, coconut flour, melted coconut oil, maple syrup or honey, vanilla extract, almond extract, cinnamon, and salt

Mix until well combined

Press the mixture into the greased tart pan, forming an even crust along the bottom and up the sides

Arrange the sliced pears over the crust in a decorative pattern

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the pears are tender

If desired, sprinkle sliced almonds over the tart during the last 5-10 minutes of baking

Allow the tart to cool slightly before slicing and serving
